What is the examination Pattern for NEET 2017?
The primary subjects for NEET are – Biology, Chemistry & Physics. The total number of questions that the NEET question booklet will carry will be a total of 180, 90 questions from Biology and 45 each from Chemistry & Physics respectively. Although, students must pay equal focus on all 3 disciples, your All India Ranking can be affected in case two or more candidates secure equal marks. What are the eligibility criteria for NEET 2017?
Mandatory document
● Aadhar card is mandatory to apply for NEET 2017, except for candidates applying from Jammu & Kashmir, Assam, Meghalaya
Who can apply?
● Candidates should be either Indian nationals or overseas citizens of India to apply
The minimum percentage required
● Applicants must pass Class XII exam with 50 percent marks (general category), 40 percent marks (SC/ST/OBC)
● Handicap general candidates need to score at least 45 percent in Class XII exam with Physics, Chemistry, Math and English, while SC/ST/OBC handicapped need to score the minimum 40 percent marks
● Those appearing for the qualifying Class XII exam can also apply
Age limit
● Minimum age limit for appearing in NEET is 17 years on 31st December of the year of admission
● The upper limit for applying in NEET 2017 is 25 years as on December 31, 2016
● Relaxation of five years for the upper age limit in case of reserved categories
