Download your NEET admit card on time: Things to do a week prior to your NEET

NEET 2017 will be held on 7th of May.  It is estimated that nearly 7 to 8 lakhs students will be appearing for the NEET examination this year. As usual, the competition is going to be a tough one.  While most students are busy brushing up and revising the NEET syllabus, there are few essential things that appearing candidates must remember. 

 

# 1 Timely Download of the NEET Admit Card

 

NEET Admit Card shall be available for download from 15th of April onwards. Students will be able to download the admit card from the CBSE website. Please note that admit cards will only be available online and shall not be sent by post. So, if you are not sure about how to download NEET admit card, request help from someone.

 

Upon downloading the form, students must cross check the details of the admit card. For example, the spelling of the name, details of birth date, etc. If there is any error or discrepancy, students and requested to immediately take up the issue with the authorities. This is important to avoid any confusion or problem on the day of the examination.

 

Here’s a step by step guide to how to download the NEET admit card

 

●    Visit the official CBSE website

●    Look for the admit card link

●    Fill in the details like registration number, date of birth and the security code and hit the submit button

●    Therefore the admit card shall be saved on the computer

 

Take the print of the admit card

 

Read carefully the instructions on the admit card. The timing, duration of the examination and other details will be clearly listed. Make sure that you follow the timings and other instructions to the tee. 

 

 

# 2 Prepare Photographs

 

All appearing candidates have to bring with them 2 sets of photographs –

●Make sure you carry 2 postcard sized Photographs to the examination center. You will be required to affix the photo on the proforma.

● In addition to that also carry a handful of passport sized photos, which you will be required to use for regulatory reasons.

● Ensure that the photograph is recent. Refrain from using an old photograph.

 

# 3 Decide on comfortable clothing

 

May is one of the hottest months of the year. Make sure that you are wearing light and comfortable clothing. Wear light and loose clothes. Last year, CBSE had implemented a very strict dress code. Appearing candidates were advised to wear light clothes with half-sleeves. Clothes with deep pockets, big buttons, badges, and brooches were strictly prohibited. In addition to that, avoid wearing ornaments like chain, pendants, heavy rings and earrings. Keep these things in mind before selecting the outfit for the examination.

 

# 4 Stationary to be provided at the Examination Hall

 

Except for the admit card, candidates are not allowed to carry anything inside the examination hall. The stationary items required to take the examination shall be provided to the candidates. Therefore, do not carry any pen, paper, exam board, plastic pouches, calculators, etc. inside the hall.

 

# 5 Be Mindful of the timings

 

Late comers shall not be entertained at the examination center. All candidates are expected to reach the center at least two and half hours before the examination.  Here’s a breakdown of the timing on Sunday, 7th May 2017. Make sure that you reach the examination center as per the following schedule-

 

Entry to the examination center

Starts 7:30 am onwards

Verification of the Admit Card

Between 9:30 am to 9:45 am

NEET exam Begins

Sharp 10:00 am

NEET exam Ends

Dot 01:00 am

 

 

Any mistake of technical glitch can disqualify you from taking the NEET examination. Therefore, follow the instructions discussed in this write-up carefully.

 

Point to Note – Students will receive the question paper in the preferred language that was selected by them at the time of filling the form. Make sure that you receive the question booklet in the language selected by you.  In case the of a miss-match inform the invigilator immediately.
