JEE Advanced 2015 Exam Schedule
Amidst this, experts at Aakash have some advice for you to achieve success!
- Plan your study
Considering the last month in hand, you should have finished most of the syllabus. Concentrate on what has been done already while you focus on solving ability, speed and accuracy. Unless it is a very important topic or a topic that carries nominal weightage in the exam, do not study what you had skipped or what is new to you.
- Make a concept sheet
Write all the important formulae and relevant diagrams in a particular sheet for your reference and go through it regularly. This will strengthen your understanding and help you solve questions faster.
- Solve a lot of mock tests!
Solve full length mock tests within the allocated time each day for a month. This will help you understand your strong and weak areas which will in turn help you in performing better in the next test. Also, this will help you analyze your performance and the areas where you might have to pay more attention to.
As you solve mock papers:
- Pick up a habit to read the questions and answer choices thoroughly before answering.
- Stay calm at all times as it helps you recall better.
- Do not panic if you’re not able to solve a particular question; instead practice the topic again.
- Develop a strategy
Having understood the areas that you are good at and the areas where you might have to pay more attention, try to do better by working on the points where you are making mistakes and on those points where you are spending a lot of time.
- Talk to like-minded mates
Talk to your friends who are taking JEE Advanced and discuss the various problems they come across while studying or solving mock papers and analyze how they solve them.
- Revise till you get perfect
Revision of all the concepts and topics covered is very essential to keep a track of all the subjects simultaneously. This will ensure you are clear of the concepts and helps avoid confusion.
Remember that it is never too late! You still have one full month to prepare. Dedicate all your time towards practicing and working on your weak areas. Stay confident and remember ‘PRACTICE MAKES A MAN PERFECT.’
