Your Key to Crack AIPMT 2015
April 30, 2015

With AIPMT around the corner, how equipped are you to excel?  You have prepared for this exam throughout the year and now the time has finally come for you to actually put your preparation to test.

AIPMT, a 3 hour long test consists of 180 questions of which, 45 questions are from each of the subjects i.e., Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology.

Each correct answer is awarded 4 marks and 1 mark is deducted for every wrong answer. The total marks are awarded out of 720.

So here are some last minute preparation tips from Aakash experts to ensure you make the best of your limited time before 3rd of May, 2015.

  • Make a timetable and align it with your body clock

During these last few days, having a daily timetable in place and adhering to it will keep your preparation structured. Not only will you manage the time available, but you will also keep a track of your progress. While you take regular breaks, ensure to make use of maximum time productively.

  • Smart study is the key

Spend more time on Biology since 90 out of 180 questions in total will be from Botany and Zoology.

  • Make a quick revision sheet

Create a quick revision sheet, add important points, formulae and also points that you are likely to forget. This will help you ensure you’ve understood all the concepts clearly and have absolutely no doubts regarding any of them.

  • Take full length mock tests

To really assess your preparation so far, take full length mock tests and previous year’s paper in the time limit that will be given during the exam. This will help you analyze the type of questions, rate your performance, understand areas that require attention, manage time and get into the right mindset for the exam!

  • Revise, revise, and revise!

Lastly, the trick to gain the edge over competitors is to repetitively revise to instill everything within your mind and help you recall accurately whenever required.

To avoid last minute confusion on the day of the exam, keep all things that you will need for your examination one night before. Make sure to double check your admit card and other important documents. On the day of the exam:

  • Keep a cool head
  • Read the questions and choices thoroughly before attempting it
  • Do not spend too much time on a particular question. If you get stuck, move on and attempt other questions
  • If the question paper seems tough, remember it is tough for everyone. Do not panic. Give it your best shot.

Make the most of the limited time by keeping a positive outlook and self-confidence which will boost your preparation and help you achieve your goals. Realize what helps you do so and practice it daily!

It is really important for you to believe in yourself and not underestimate your potential. Keep yourself motivated and keep saying ‘I CAN AND I WILL DO IT.’

A few prerequisites are to eat well, keep yourself calm and stay healthy!

All the best!
